Yumeeeeeee

Check out this cute online store called Yume! They have everything from clothing to decoration to toys and storage. It's French and you can view it in English but there isn't a lot of info about each item. I love these floor cushions, I think they are little hearts rather than dots and I have no idea what size they are but so want them.

Etsy Gold

It's sooo hard to search for things on Etsy that don't look home made and are a little bit design- esque. But if you look long and hard there will always be something. Here are a few of my recent finds...

Baby Leggings by Thief & Bandit
These are actual leggings, not those weird leg warmer things (seriously what are they like? What about the top of the babies thighs? I don't get them), I got a pair for my baby and they are really nice. I have a thing for printed leggings.
Monkey Long Legs Toys by Sally Nencini
These are pretty cute, hand knitted and embroidered, there are a few colour options. She also makes wool cushions with childish graphics, would be good for a sweet themed nursery or kids room.
This however is possibly the best thing I have found on Etsy so far! It's a vase in the shape of a root, it sits upon a wall looking peaceful and weird. This is definitely on my wishlist! Get one here.

More Cots

Our Brio cot finally arrived and it was a dream to assemble, now the challenge is moving our baby from the bassinet that she likes to be rocked in. Anyway I still see cots I love and here are a couple, if only NZ could import or make something different to the standard cots we have. The first one is a gorgeous mid century style cot from Urban Baby that has two mattress levels and converts to a bed. The good news is, this one is from Australia so you could get it to NZ kind of easily. The second cot is by Oeuf in New York, it is eco friendly and uses non toxic paints. The mattress has three different levels and it can turn into a toddler bed but I reckon it's a bit ugly as a bed.

DIY playhouse

I think this is one of the best ideas I have come across, buy instructions to DIY.  Studio Mama is London based and sells downloadable pdf's to make simple furniture, outdoor kitchens and the best part a kids house - a structure to be used as a play space and a sleep space with little steps and a blackboard. I looks pretty easy to build. Shop here.

Third Drawer Down

This is one of my favorite stores in Melbourne. They have a huge range of tea towels and pillow cases featuring artists work but they also have a whole lot of crazy stuff for kids. So keen to get my hands on the Monkey cushion. Clockwise from top left: Giant Beanbag, Monkey Cushion, Eyeball banages & Pierre Bear doll.   Shop here.

More Mobiles

Check out these cool mobiles from DedeCe Plus. A bit gutted I didn't see these earlier, I think there is such a thing as having too many mobiles. Oh well...

Wooden Teethers

It's so hard to find god things on Etsy and I can't even remember what I was looking for when I stumbled across these organic wooden teethers, they are not your standard shapes for babies but some of them are kinda cute.

Pretty as a Piwaiwaka

We got one of these gorgeous chairs with a table for our little lady, for when she is a bit older of course. Such an amazing idea, a table and chair made from old beer crates. They are beautifully finished, sanded and oiled and there is a great choice of fabrics. They are only $50 for a table and chair set, way to cheap for all the work in them! Buy there here.

Baby bedding

Baby bedding is so nice! We are about to move our baby into a cot so I have been hunting for some unique linen. So far I have only found very simple options based in NZ but there are some beautiful things afar. Here are a few of my favorites so far (the search will continue of course).

Numero 74
This is my all time fave so far. Numero 74 based in Italy do amazing blankets, unfortunately they do not ship to NZ, hopefully one day they will. They also do a range of duvet covers and vintage toys.

NATURE BABY
Of course Nature Baby do pretty much the nicest products around. My favorites are the merino blankets and jersey sheets. All of the bedding here is beautiful.

BABU
I love Babu bedding, these sheets are so thick and soft, they are like a thin sweater material. I wish they made them in Queen size! The merino buggy blankets are beautiful too and machine washable.

Shhhop

Check out these awesome wooden toys by Miller Goodman in the UK. I love the graphic design of them and there are so many different things you can make. I reckon these are pretty sweet for adults as well as kids. Buy them here.
