Eco Art Supplies

I'm a sucker for natural things and art supplies so when the two are combined it's hard to resist. Below are a few cool things I have come across lately.

VEGGIE TEMPERA PAINT
From We Can Too, this range of paints is dairy free, gluten free and made from fruits and vegetables. They come in a powder form and you can mix it with water. We Can Too also do a range of edible crayons, baby face paint and chalks. Buy locally here.

GLOB COLORS
Glob colors also do a range of paints and crafty projects kits but I love their paint brushes and brush holder. Check their site for your nearest stockist - I came across them at the Art & Craft store on Waiheke Island.

Beneath The Sun

I came across Beneath The Sun via my favorite NZ design blog Studio Home. I absolutely love these blocks, how great would they look in a kids room? It's worth a look around the site for cute spotty pillowcases and great cushions.

Wooden

I have been searching online for Christmas gifts recently and decided to get our girl a balance bike. During this search I cam across a cool online store from Australia called Wooden. These are my favorite things on the site, a balance board and a swing. I love the simplicity in their designs.

Meadowlark for SPCA

It is annual appeal week at SPCA Auckland and Meadowlark have teamed up with them to produce some cool merchandise. All proceeds go towards their work looking after cute animals in need. Support the SPCA by buying some cool stuff, there are kids tees (sizes 2-8), a tote bag (perfect for a beach bag or nappy bag), Mens and Women's tees and a super cool coffee mug. You can even get a necklace directly from Meadowlark and $50 from every one sold goes to the SPCA. Get in there! Sydney Shopping: Part Four

PURE & GENERAL
This store is divine and is not like any other. Everything changes regularly so it's worth checking back often. A lot of the pieces are commissioned for the store and are handcrafted all over the world. I am in love with the hand stitched blankets from Scotland and the hand stitched bears from South Africa. If only I had the budget. They also sell some of my favorite brands including Lucky Boy Sunday and Fog Linen.

Monkis

Thanks to a lovely follower on my facebook page,  I managed to find these crazy cushions from Monki. I wish I could get them.

Kid Robot: Part 2

I keep going back to Kid Robot just to browse. It's been about eight years since I last bought a vinyl toy so I am totally out of the loop as far as knowing about the artists. But I love all these things below. They would make great gifts for kids. Those doughnuts below are erasers, do kids still use them? Do they even use pencils anymore?

Sketch Inc

I can't remember where I came across this but I absolutely love it. Sketch Inc do an eclectic range of mostly geometric objects. I am absolutely obsessed with the shadowbox. There is so much more to see, go and have a look around

Grrrrrrrrr

How cool is this bear bean bag!?! I am so keen to get one for my girl but my husband is not convinced that she NEEDS one. I love that the pattern is not printed but hand stitched, I would so like to see this in real life. Fingers crossed. Buy it at HAPA in Christchurch.

If you follow Mama Likes This on Facebook, you would have already seen this when I shared the link a few weeks ago. I absolutely love these pieces by Needle & I, they are so simple but so perfect. I would like one of each please.

Baby Bracelets

So this might be news to most of you. Aside from being a mum and posting on this blog I am actually a jewellery designer. My husband and I have a jewellery business called Meadowlark. We happen to make studded baby bracelets. You can buy them here.

Shelf Life

Another good Australian find is Shelf Life. There is a little kids section on this site, full of toys and prints. But the things I like the most are these wooden decorations (they are not toys!) and these sweet knitted hats and mittens. There is so much more to look at.

Mushrooms

I am in love with these Mushroom Canisters by Beci Orpin. A little similar to the Pen Pencil Stencil guys, but much cuter. The are available exclusively in Melbourne from Ganim Store (online shop yet to come). I think I need to go to Australia.

Mes habits cheris

I have no idea what is going on because this site is French. But there are a few things I would like to buy if I had a money tree. This site is so full of things I have the feeling I haven't even scratched the surface. My picks...

These are so cute. A nice alternative to Sylvanian Familes if you will. Also available at Lille Figaro.

This is just mental and that's why I like it.

I have actually been trying to track one of these down for a very long time but I just can't bring myself to actually purchase it.

Adonde

I actually can't handle how aesthetically pleasing this is to me! So many cute things. Adonde is from Paris and I am going shopping now! From top to bottom: Waste paper bin, Storage Basket, Storage basket again, Match box light (not that small), Untitled Lamp and stationary set.
