I've been busy

I haven't been blogging much lately as I have been busy start yet another business. I have started making baby clothing under the name B.A.M. Starting with printed tees and onsies in collaboration with my favorite designer Jimmy D. I will not be doing collections, but will be adding styles as they are made. I hope you like it. Somehow I just stumbled across these amazing paper lamp shades from Studio Snowpuppe in the Netherlands. Designed by an architect and an industrial designer, they are just stunning. So perfect for a modern kids room. I so want to get one of these one day! But them here or on Etsy here.

Vans

Vans do a really cool selection of shoes for kids. Not surprisingly they aren't available in New Zealand. Check out the whole toddler/infant range here. Good luck getting some!

Bean Bags

I know bean bags are usually pretty boring but go and explore the Little Red Stuga range and you will see some cool ideas like bean bag designs based on the highest mountains in the world which show really cute map like information. But my favorite is this knitted pouf based on the highest mountain in Sweden. Feel free to buy me one of these.

Wooden Toy Ships

These are pretty awesome wooden toys! Designed by a design agency in London and produced by Toy Brand Papa Foxtrot. I don't know much more about them really but shit they look good!

Art T-shirts

This is a pretty cute idea. T-shirts with prints designed for kids by kids. Mini & Maximus is an eco-friendly clothing brand for kids. There are so many great prints that come on tee's, sweaters and posters. Check them out here and somebody hold me back!

Tuss

This is my favourite kind of kids brand, basic colours, simple styles and high quality. Tuss is a gorgeous brand from Sweden that specializes in high quality small runs for kids and babies. Shop here. Also available on La Garconne.

Boon Boon Boon Boon

So I have blogged about this brand before but there are so many great products I have only just come across. Unfortunately some of the best items are no longer on the site so below are some of the things I like from their current collection. We have the lady bug bath thingy - it holds all the bath toys and the red bit comes off so you can scoop all the toys and rinse them and hang them up. There is also a little shelf for bottles. The second image is a new bath toy and the third image is some really cute food containers. Lovely things that are wants and not needs? See the full range here.

Today Sharon Montrose from The Animal Printshop, released a new collection of baby animal photographic prints. The collection is called Little Darlings, such a cute idea for a kids room.

I keep coming across rocking horses that are not horses at all. Here are a few different options.

Hatch

Finally! Someone has done a range of maternity fashion that has some style. Check out the Hatch collection here. This is actually the first time I have seen maternity wear that is not corporate and personality-free. And you can wear it before, during and after pregnancy, so you don't have to waste your money on short term clothing. Found via Oh Joy.

High Chairs

I have been holding out for a while on doing this post until I could definitely say our High chair was good. We have had a Stokee Tripp Trapp for many months but have only been using it for about six weeks. We chose it mainly because we didn't want a massive ugly piece of furniture taking up space after we stopped using it. So we got a Tripp Trapp that can go from a high chair to an adult seat. We love it and would totally recommend it. The only downside is that there are heaps of add ons which can make the price get pretty high.

Since our baby has been in a high chair we are starting to use other high chairs in cafés and realising that a lot of them are total crap. But one that is amazing is the Handysitt. We have been using this lately at our favourite cafe and like it so much we have decided to buy one for when we are out and about visiting family or just at cafés. It's really sturdy but also really expensive. But there are a few available on Trade Me at half price, so be quick if you want one!
